Lobbyists See Demand for Guiding CEOs in Hostile Hill Hearings

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun faced fire from both sides of the aisle at a Senate hearing this week, his first public stint on Capitol Hill as the company has drawn increased scrutiny since a fuselage panel blew off a 737 Max earlier this year.

“This hearing is the moment of reckoning,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), chair of the subcommittee, said. “Boeing needs to stop thinking about the next earnings call and start thinking about the next generation.”
