Wisconsin DOR Issues Reminder for Real Property Assessment of Mobile Homes

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) June 17 issued a reminder to tax payers that state law requires real property assessments of mobile homes unless certain exemptions apply. These exemptions include: 1) camping trailers; 2) recreational mobile homes; 3) mobile homes subject to the monthly mobile home parking permit fee; 4) motor vehicles, motor homes, bus, and vans; and 5) Merchant’s stock.
