A Pennsylvania-based radiologist, his practice Vascular Access Centers LLC, and others identified flaws in a False Claims Act suit alleging Medicare fraud, but the whistleblower has an opportunity to file an amended complaint, a federal district court said.
Whistleblower David W. Stebbins alleges that James F. McGuckin and VAC billed Medicare and Medicaid for medical procedures such as arteriograms despite failing to comply with regulations regarding the administration of anesthesia, and despite failing to disclose that procedures were performed at facilities lacking proper licensing.
