Microsoft Settles Cortana Patent Case After $242 Million Verdict

Microsoft Corp. and IPA Technologies Inc. have agreed to end their patent dispute after a jury verdict finding the tech giant’s Cortana digital assistant infringed IPA’s rights, and the jury’s $242 million award to IPA.

The companies filed a joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice for “valuable consideration” in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
