L-3, Army Fleet Settle Helicopter Fraud Suit With Whistleblower

Army Fleet Support LLC and L-3 Communications Corp., have settled a False Claims Act suit with a whistleblower who alleged fraudulent billing under a US Army helicopter maintenance contract.

Whistleblower James Cunningham filed a motion to dismiss on June 18 with the US District Court for the Middle District of Alabama stating that the parties reached a confidential settlement agreement May 3.

Chief Judge Emily C. Marks on June 18 granted the parties’ motion for consent to the proposed settlement.
