Home Solutions Company Somfy Hit With Patent Infringement Suit

French home automation company Somfy Activits SA is facing a lawsuit by patent acquisition company Fleet Connect Solutions LLC alleging its smart products infringe patents for wireless communications.

Fleet alleges Somfy is infringing US Patent No. 7,260,153, entitled “Multi Input Multi Output Wireless Communication Method and Apparatus Providing Extended Range and Extended Rate Across Imperfectly Estimated Channels,” and 7,742,388, entitled “Packet Generation Systems and Methods,” in a complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
