Cathay Pacific Pilots Seek Green Light for $16 Million Wage Deal

Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. pilots who say the airline ran afoul of California minimum wage and overtime laws asked a federal judge to sign off on a $16.65 million deal to resolve the suit.

The deal provides relief for 110 pilots and represents “approximately three times the aggregate amount” the company offered workers individually last year, which the US District Court for the Northern District of California enforced for 61 other pilots, according to settlement documents filed Thursday.
