A federal district court in Texas denied Southwire Company LLC’s motion to dismiss or to stay, pending mediation, Encore Wire Corporation’s action seeking a declaratory judgment of non-infringement, invalidity, and unenforceability of patents related to wire manufacturing products. The court said that Encore Wire stated plausible claims for relief and that a stay pending mediation isn’t necessary.
