California CDTFA Issues Publication on Statewide Compliance, Outreach Program

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) issued a publication on the Statewide Compliance and Outreach Program. The program is part of a statewide effort to educate business owners, increase tax compliance, and ensure the CDTFA’s compliance system is fair. The publication provides information including: 1) why the CDTFA has contacted the business; 2) what permits and licenses are needed; 3) whether a business is required to register for use tax reporting; 4) what will happen during the verification visit; and 5) record keeping.
