Apple, Consumers Revise $35 Million iPhone Sound Settlement

Attorneys for Apple Inc. and consumers have updated a $35 million deal that will settle claims the company sold iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices with poor sound quality and impaired calling ability.

The US District Court for the Northern District of California preliminary approved the settlement in November 2023. The consumers alleged a defect reduced audio quality and made it difficult to make phone calls or use features like Siri.
